Harvard Innovation Challenge Semi-Finalist
The AMEL Project has been selected as a semi-finalist in the 2020 Harvard President’s Innovation Challenge!
The Challenge is an annual event designed to bring together the Harvard community to work on compelling solutions to some of the world’s most pressing problems. The AMEL Project was one of more than 400 student- and alumni-led teams selected for the Harvard Innovation Lab spring cohort. The 100 semi-finalists in the cohort take part in an “accelerator” program in preparation for the final round of the President’s Innovation Challenge. In May 2020, Bertarelli Foundation Prizes totaling $510,000 will be awarded to the Challenge’s grand prize and runner-up winners competing in the six venture tracks:
Social or cultural impact - helping the arts thrive and making our planet safer, more equitable, and sustainable;
Health or life sciences - improving the efficacy of healthcare services;
Open - great ideas that transcend categories;
Launch Lab X - alumni-led ventures that disrupt and reimagine their industries;
Life Lab - groundbreaking biotech and life-science start-ups;
Ingenuity Awards - innovative solutions that reimagine our industries, communities, or daily lives.
