MISSION

Our mission is to mobilize, empower, and unite young leaders and activists from the Middle East and Africa (MEA) to build resilient, inclusive societies that are free from discrimination, persecution, and violent coercion, and to advocate for policies in support of these goals.

VISION & Activities

AMEL empowers young activists from the MEA region, and connects them with one another and with peers, leaders and audiences in the global north, in order to advance dignity and rights for all.

Through training, mentoring, and advocacy, bold and creative young African and Middle Eastern activists – both those living in the global north and those throughout the MEA region – are empowered to step up their civil society activism, while at the same time building their skills and experience to ascend to top leadership positions.

From its multi-faith co-creation story, to its unique programming, AMEL is a wholly fresh approach to enabling the next generation of civic leaders, while strategically impacting relations between the MEA region and the global north.
