The series will begin January 8 at 12:00pm ET with a webinar on US Middle East Policy in 2025 featuring Amb. Dennis Ross and moderated by Mani A. Jad. Amb. Dennis Ross is Counselor and William Davidson Distinguished Fellow at The Washington Institute for Near East Policy and Mani Jad is Founder and Executive Director of the Institute for Middle East Options, which is co-sponsoring the event.
Continuing on January 15 at 1:00pm ET, the series will explore Democracy and Autocracy in the Middle East and Africa in 2025 with Prof. Larry Diamond and Steve Feldstein, moderated by Roukaya Kasenally. Prof. Larry Diamond is the William L. Clayton Senior Fellow at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University, Steven Feldstein is a senior fellow at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace and Roukaya Kasenally is Chair of the Electoral Institute for Sustainable Democracy in Africa.
With a webinar on January 22 at 12:00pm ET, the series will conclude with Lessons from Africa for The West: Defending Human Rights & Civil Liberties in 2025 featuring Nicholas Opiyo.
